Empowering Prenatal Program
Welcome Mamas-to-be and congratulations!
Most often for moms-to-be the story goes like this:
Yay you’re pregnant! You start (or continue) taking prenatal vitamins that you hope are good. You go to your first prenatal appointment the doctor says ‘Yay you’re pregnant! Here are a bunch of resources, see you almost every month until birth for various tests and check-ins.”
Your body and mood are changing and overwhelm steps in. The idea that your life is about to completely change is a lot to process. You have so many questions. The limited time with your providers is frustrating. You read books and various articles but you still feel overwhelmed.
What should you eat? How do you exercise? How will this impact your pelvic floor? Why are you leaking urine? Is this normal? You make it through the 9 months and you think you know as much as you can before giving birth.
Your birth did not go the way you expected and/or it ended up being a traumatic experience. You don’t have time to think about it because you now have a child. Your body spent 9 months stretching and growing a baby and now that baby is outside of you and your body feels completely different.
Wow, That’s a lot. How can we write a different story?
